Tom plays a key role in leading our firm’s quality control process, ensuring auditing standards are met, and developing training for our team. He is also instrumental in providing proactive solutions to clients in regard to accounting and financial reporting requirements, and in guiding schools on composite score ratio planning. This promotion recognizes the value he brings to both our clients and our staff every day.”
As Technical Director, Tom specializes in conducting financial statement audits and providing business consulting services to a wide range of clients, with particular expertise in the for-profit education and service-based entity sectors. Clients value his ability to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into actionable insights that support institutional stability and growth.
A Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tom’s career spans more than two decades, including nine years at Edwards Sauer & Owens and one year following its acquisition by Beard Miller (now part of Baker Tilly).

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid sports fan, closely following the Steelers, Penguins, and now all things Penn State, as he celebrates his son starting his freshman year there.
