Stay Ahead of Compliance Year-Round with Expert Tools

Compliance doesn’t stop between audits. Our consulting and tools give your institution the resources to monitor key metrics, maintain clean records, and prepare for new regulations so you’re never caught off-guard when audit season arrives or regulations shift.

Composite Score Solutions

Your Composite Score is a primary factor in determining your institution’s Title IV eligibility. A score below 1.5 can trigger Department of Education conditions that cost you time and capital. Our experts can help you project your Composite Score before your fiscal year closes, so you can make decisions that affect your financial standing while you still have time to act.

  • Annual Composite Score modeling based on your current financial data
  • Scenario analysis to understand how financial and strategic decisions affect your score
  • Solutions for reaching or maintaining a passing score

90/10 Model & Projections

For-profit institutions are required to derive no more than 90% of their revenue from federal student aid and other covered sources, including veterans benefits and additional funding types added under recent regulatory changes. Failing the 90/10 rule for two consecutive years causes schools to lose Title IV eligibility. Our 90/10 Model utilizes transaction data exported from your Student Information Software to properly calculate 90/10 in the format the Department of Education specifically requires. Use the model on your own or let our experts review your calculation or even prepare it for you. For institutions close to 90%, use the model or our expertise before year end to know where you stand before the audit.

Title IV Consulting

Don’t wait for an audit or a program review to identify issues. Our Title IV consulting includes compliance reviews to give your institution a proactive look at your financial aid operations, helping you address risks before they become findings.

Our consulting covers:
  • Title IV program administration processes
  • Cash management and drawdown procedures
  • Return to Title IV procedures

Pell Grant Calculator

FAFSA Simplification changed how Pell Grants are calculated across academic program structures. Traditional enrollment categories no longer apply, and new rounding rules introduce additional complexity. To support accurate and compliant calculations, we developed a Pell Grant calculator built on the most commonly used formulas.

Bookkeeping

Some institutions need to prioritize proper accounting and generating accurate books before they are ready to be audited. If your school’s financial records are inconsistent or unclear, a financial statement audit won’t give you the clarity you’re looking for. Utilize our expertise to get your financials accurate and organized to prepare for an audit and, more importantly, to better enable you to make strategic decisions.

The Institutions and Investors We Work With

Who We Serve

Every client we work with is navigating real regulatory pressure, whether it’s the strict scrutiny that comes with being a for-profit school, the unique risks facing nonprofit institutions with stretched financial aid teams, or the compliance complexity that comes with acquiring or investing in a postsecondary institution for the first time. We built our practice entirely around higher education because this industry demands a specialist.
