McClintock & Associates, a leading public accounting firm providing specialized services to postsecondary educational institutions, is proud to announce the promotion of Kim Cravotta, FAAC®, to Senior Manager.
“Kim brings something rare to this work: she has been on both sides of the compliance equation," said Managing Director Dave McClintock, CPA. “Her years as a financial aid administrator at institutions ranging from large research universities to for-profit schools give her an understanding of institutional realities that goes well beyond the regulatory text. Combined with her technical rigor and her expanding leadership across our marketing and thought leadership initiatives, Kim is exactly the kind of professional our clients and our team are fortunate to have."
As Senior Manager, Kim specializes in Title IV compliance, consulting, and due diligence. Within the compliance practice, she leads technical reviews for Title IV audit and attestation engagements, helping to strengthen consistency and audit quality across the team. In recent years, she has become increasingly involved in the firm’s marketing and thought leadership initiatives. Kim is now taking on expanded project management responsibilities, including content development, cross-functional collaboration, and timely execution of strategic priorities.
Prior to joining McClintock & Associates in 2018, Kim spent nearly a decade working in financial aid offices across not-for-profit and for-profit institutions in the Pittsburgh region. That background gives her a firsthand understanding of the operational realities institutions face when translating regulatory requirements into day-to-day practice. Kim holds the FAAC® designation and four additional credentials through NASFAA and has been actively involved in PASFAA’s training initiatives.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys live music and concerts, crafting, and spending time with her husband, Anthony, and their dog, Toffee. She and Anthony are celebrating ten years of marriage this year– a milestone made even more meaningful by the fact that the two first met at a financial aid job nearly two decades ago and have had the opportunity to work together again at McClintock & Associates for the past three years.
