McClintock & Associates, a leading public accounting firm providing specialized services to postsecondary educational institutions, is proud to announce the promotion of Luke Hoey, FAAC®, to Director.

“Luke’s promotion to Director reflects both the depth of what he has built here and the natural evolution of his leadership within the firm," said Managing Director Dave McClintock, CPA. “Over thirteen years, he has been one of our most trusted experts on Title IV regulations, and has consistently brought the kind of steady judgment and creative problem-solving that clients rely on, especially when the stakes are high. He now joins our firm’s leadership team, and we are confident in the direction he will bring to our compliance practice."

As Director, Luke continues the transition from not only leading individual Title IV compliance audits, but also focusing on consulting engagements, due diligence work, departmental oversight, and strategic planning. He continues to contribute to the firm’s thought leadership through webinars, trainings, and industry conferences. Internally, Luke oversees the compliance department and remains closely involved in quality control and procedural adaptation as audit guidance continues to evolve.

Luke joined McClintock & Associates thirteen years ago following two and a half years as a financial aid administrator at a four-year for-profit institution, where he counseled students on Title IV eligibility and built a foundational understanding of federal financial aid regulations. He is a member of NASFAA and holds their FAAC® designation and has earned a NASFAA credential in Gainful Employment. He has spoken at numerous higher education industry conferences and completed the Management Academy leadership program through Spiirall. He is a member of NASFAA and has been involved in conferences and trainings for organizations including CECU and MAACS.

Outside of work, Luke is a musician who plays multiple instruments, with guitar as his primary. He has been married to his wife Robin for fifteen years, and they have two sons, Daniel (11) and Finley (9). A Steelers fan, he also enjoys playing sports and board games with family and friends.
