Title IV Training and Staff Development for Financial Aid Teams

The regulations don’t slow down for staff turnover. When a new aid officer joins your team, they need to be reviewing FAFSAs, packaging Title IV aid, calculating R2T4s, and answering verification questions within weeks — not months. We train financial aid staff the way we wish we’d been trained when we were sitting in those chairs.

Title IV Training That Meets Your Team Where They Are.

Most Title IV training stops at the regulations.
Ours starts there.

When you want to go deeper, our virtual and live sessions are built around your institution. Before we train, we review how your team works: your packaging philosophy, your verification workflow, your R2T4 process, your reconciliation cadence — and where your staff feel the most exposure. Then the session works through real examples that map to how your aid office actually operates. They’re led by a team that includes 8 Certified Financial Aid Administrators (FAAC ™) and financial aid veterans who’ve worked inside postsecondary aid offices, so you’re learning from people who’ve done the job, not just studied it.

Coming Soon: Our self-service learning platform will provide your team a clear, current foundation in the rules that govern federal student aid, available whenever your staff needs it.

What we cover:

New-hire onboarding curriculum for FA staff
Topic-specific deep-dives
Regulatory updates
Director-level training on compliance oversight and audit readiness
Cross-training for non-FA staff (admissions, registrar, bursar) on Title IV intersections

Topics and Curriculum

We teach the topics financial aid teams actually struggle with. Curriculum is built from the same regulatory specificity we apply in audit work but delivered in the language of operations, not citations. Every topic comes with a take-home reference document the team can reference as needed. On the self-service platform (coming soon), the curriculum is taught with practical, worked examples; in our virtual and live sessions, those examples are built around your own programs and processes.

Core topics:
  • FAFSA processing and review
  • R2T4 calculation methodology and common errors
  • Verification, conflicting information, and C-Code flag resolution
  • Satisfactory Academic Progress policy design and enforcement
  • Cash management and reconciliation
  • Upcoming regulatory changes, such as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act

How We Deliver

Delivery follows what works for your team. We offer live virtual sessions that can be recorded, as well as onsite multi-day workshops that are great for new-hire cohorts and team refreshers.

Coming Soon: Our self-service platform is always on, featuring on-demand modules your institution can return to, bringing staff up to speed throughout the year without waiting for a scheduled session.

They work in harmony: your team can utilize the on-demand platform for the foundation and live virtual sessions for the parts that are specific to how your aid office operates.

We Understand Your Compliance Challenges

Who We Serve

Every client we work with faces real regulatory pressure, and the stakes are too high to navigate compliance alone. We built our practice entirely around higher education because this industry demands a specialist, and because you deserve that peace of mind.

Training and Staff Development FAQs

We cover the full Title IV curriculum: FAFSA processing, packaging, verification, Return to Title IV calculationsSatisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), professional judgment, monthly cash management reconciliation, and audit preparation. We also deliver focused training on regulation changes, including OB3 loan caps, Schedule of Reductions (SOR), and Workforce Pell eligibility.  If you don’t see something listed here, just ask.

Training is delivered by our own staff. Most have worked inside postsecondary financial aid offices; others bring deep Title IV audit experience. We have eight members who hold the FAAC(R) credential through NASFAA. Your trainers are the same people who perform our compliance reviews, Title IV audits, and policy and procedure work for institutions nationwide.

Yes. Every engagement starts with a scoping conversation to align the curriculum to your institutional type, enrollment model (term-based vs. clock-hour, standard term vs. nonstandard), and current pain points.

Currently, we offer live virtual sessions that can be recorded, as well as onsite multi-day workshops that are great for new-hire cohorts and team refreshers.

Yes. Our new-hire curriculum provides an aid officer a solid foundation, covering the regulations and the documentation habits that prevent audit findings later. We can structure the training around a staff member’s specific responsibilities and your institution’s workflow, or point new hires to a suggested pathway in our on-demand platform.
