MCCLINTOCK & ASSOCIATES PROMOTES PARKER CHARLTON, FAAC®, TO SENIOR MANAGER

McClintock & Associates, a leading public accounting firm providing specialized services to postsecondary educational institutions, is proud to announce the promotion of Parker Charlton, FAAC®, to Senior Manager.

“Parker brings something to our clients that you can’t learn from the regulations alone,” said Managing Director Dave McClintock, CPA. “He spent 15 years running financial aid offices before he joined us, so when a school is working out how a regulatory change will actually play out in its operations, he has already lived that side of it. Since 2019 he has been one of the firm’s most visible voices on Title IV policy, both in the articles he writes and from the stage at industry conferences. This promotion recognizes the role he already plays for our clients and our team, and the larger one ahead of him.”

As Senior Manager, Parker leads and supports Title IV compliance audits and consulting engagements, drawing on specialized knowledge of Title IV compliance, modular programs, R2T4 calculations, Federal Direct Loan regulations, and Student Information Systems. His expanded responsibilities include preparing the firm for Title IV regulatory changes through thought leadership and continuing to present to the financial aid community at industry conferences.

Parker joined McClintock & Associates in June 2019 to focus on financial aid compliance and was promoted to Manager in 2022. Before joining the firm, he spent 15 years in financial aid offices at four-year for-profit institutions, in roles of increasing responsibility that included Director of Financial Services and Senior Director of Student Financial Aid Services. He holds the Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC®) designation from NASFAA. Clients value the perspective he brings as a former director of financial aid: he understands how schools and financial aid offices actually operate, which allows him to help institutions operationalize regulatory changes and see how those changes affect the whole school, not just the financial aid office.

“I’m very excited to move into the Senior Manager position and support schools through increased consulting engagements and Title IV compliance audits,” Parker said. “Having spent my career in financial aid offices before joining the firm, I know how far a regulatory change can reach across an institution, and helping schools work through that is the part of this job I value most. Internally, I look forward to continuing my work on thought leadership for the firm.”

Outside of work, Parker enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He plays hockey, coaches youth soccer, and is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He also serves on the supervisory committee for New Alliance Federal Credit Union.
