McClintock & Associates, a leading public accounting firm providing specialized services to postsecondary educational institutions, is proud to announce the promotion of Connor Heath to Senior Accountant.
“Connor’s story is one of the things we’re proudest of as a firm,” said Managing Director Dave McClintock, CPA. “He came to us as an intern with no Title IV exposure and a limited academic foundation in accounting, and he built his expertise the right way — asking thoughtful questions, seeking out feedback, and holding himself to a high standard of accuracy. This promotion is a reflection of his intention and growth mindset, and of a culture that empowers people to thrive regardless of where they start.”
As Senior Accountant, Connor takes on an expanded role in financial statement audits as well as 90/10 analysis. Internally, his responsibilities grow to include process improvement, audit planning, and fostering client relationships.
Connor joined McClintock & Associates as an intern, spending a year and a half learning the postsecondary industry before moving into a full-time Staff Accountant role nearly two years ago. Before M&A, his high school and early college years were spent in roles focused on sales, inventory management, and customer service — a background that shows up today in his commitment to client service and his solution-oriented approach to the work.
“This promotion is not only a meaningful personal milestone reflecting my dedication to continuous learning — beginning as an intern with no Title IV exposure and only a limited academic foundation in accounting — but also a testament to M&A’s commitment to its core values and culture, which empower individuals to thrive and achieve long-term success, regardless of their background,” Connor said.
Outside of work, Connor can be found hiking, traveling, and doing just about anything that keeps him active and out in nature.pment, and increasing her involvement in client relations and business development. She also brings a focused lens on process and procedural efficiencies to the team.
Prior to joining McClintock & Associates five years ago, Stephanie served as Senior Director of Student Services at a for-profit institution, with experience spanning admissions, financial aid, student services, and the registrar. That well-rounded background informs how she approaches compliance and audit work: not as technical exercises in isolation, but as opportunities to strengthen communication and build shared understanding of regulatory requirements at every level of an organization. Stephanie holds an MBA and is currently preparing for the FAAC® certification.
Outside of work, Stephanie travels whenever the opportunity arises. At home, she can usually be found on a bike trail, at bar trivia, or at a concert or live show. She is currently in the midst of wedding planning and looking forward to that milestone ahead.
