MCCLINTOCK & ASSOCIATES PROMOTES CHEYANNE BURKE, CPA TO SUPERVISOR

McClintock & Associates, a leading public accounting firm providing specialized services to postsecondary educational institutions, is proud to announce the promotion of Cheyanne Burke, CPA, to Supervisor.

“Cheyanne has a gift for making the audit process feel approachable,” said Managing Director Dave McClintock, CPA. “Clients know they can bring her any question and talk it through without the stress that often comes with an audit. Over five years she has grown from a Staff Accountant new to this industry into someone who guides audit teams and serves as a direct contact for clients she has worked with for years. She is a natural mentor, and this promotion reflects both what she has already contributed and the leadership we know is still ahead of her.”

As Supervisor, Cheyanne specializes in financial statement audits. Her expanded responsibilities include mentoring staff and interns, leading training both formally and in real time during audit engagements, and deepening her involvement in internal initiatives — from building efficiencies into the firm’s audit process to networking with prospective hires and clients.

Cheyanne joined McClintock & Associates in 2021 after a year and a half at a regional accounting firm, where she worked on both GAAP audits and tax preparation. She earned her CPA license in the summer of 2021 and is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Clients value her personable approach: she genuinely wants to see them succeed, and when a question goes beyond her own experience, she draws on the collective knowledge of the M&A team to find the right answer.

“This promotion means a great deal to me, and I take immense pride in how much I have grown over the past five years at McClintock & Associates,” Cheyanne said. “I started as a Staff Accountant with limited exposure to the postsecondary education industry, and now I am stepping into a Supervisor role where I will have the opportunity to guide audit teams and serve as a more direct contact for clients I have worked with for several years. I am excited to begin this next chapter and grow into a leader who can support both our clients and our team.”

Outside of work, Cheyanne’s favorite thing is spending time with her kids — a day at the park, a hike, or a long weekend out of town. Her growth at the firm has run parallel to growth at home: she joined M&A as a new mom with a four-month-old, and today she is a mom of three preparing to send her oldest off to kindergarten.
