UPCOMING WEBINAR: Beyond Your Own Audit

Title IV Compliance Trends

You get your compliance audit back and see two findings, maybe three.

But what does that mean for your institution?

A financial aid office only sees its own audits. It rarely sees another school’s, so it’s hard to tell whether the results are normal for a school its size or an early warning.

We’ve looked across the 361 Title IV compliance audits McClintock performed for fiscal years ending 2023 through 2025 and discovered some interesting trends for schools of all sizes:

  • 84% of reports carried at least one finding
  • The average report has between 2 and 3 findings.
  • 32% of findings came back the following year

Curious how your institution compares?

On Thursday, November 5, Luke Hoey, FAAC® will walk through what the benchmark shows in three parts:

  1. Our findings. What we learned from schools of all sizes.
  2. Best practices. How to implement corrective action plans.
  3. Benchmark data. See sample data and learn how your school might compare.

We’ll make sure to save time to take your questions.

Figures describe McClintock & Associates’ own Title IV compliance audit population, FYE 2023–2025. They are not a sector-wide statistic.

What You Will Learn

What To Do. Specific steps and controls to put in place before your next fieldwork.

How You Compare. What’s normal for your Title IV volume?

What Comes Back. Which findings recur the next year, and how much risk that carries.

Who Should Attend

Financial aid directors, compliance officers, CFOs, and owners at Title IV institutions. The session applies whichever firm performs your audit.

Bring Your Last Audit Report. We’ll run two live polls, and you’ll see how your findings compare with schools your size as we go.
