What makes a Single Audit essential for your institution?

A Single Audit is a comprehensive audit of an institution’s financial statements, federal awards, and compliance with federal regulations. This audit is required for institutions that expend over $750,000* in federal funds in a fiscal year. It ensures that federal funds are used for their intended purposes and that your institution complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Our Single Audit Services Include:

Financial Statement Audits:

Conducting thorough audits of your financial statements to ensure they are accurate and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Federal Awards Compliance:

Reviewing your institution’s processes to ensure federal funds are being used properly and that all reporting requirements are met.

Internal Control Assessments:

Evaluating your internal control systems to identify potential weaknesses and recommended improvements to safeguard federal funds.

Audit Reporting:

Preparing clear and concise reports that meet all the necessary compliance standards for federal oversight bodies.

*NOTE: This $750,000 was increased to $1,000,000 for fiscal years beginning on or after October 1, 2024.  So the $750,000 threshold will be applicable for year-ends through 9/30/25.
